PRAYER FOR OUR CHILDREN

Prayer for Our Children

For the ones in the tide of relationships that come and go from their lives and they have no idea what they have done to be so unworthy of a ‘normal’ family and life. I pray they know they can do better than we have.

I pray for our children who are still so innocent and unaware. I am so sorry for this fallen world they are inheriting. I pray for peace that I am not even sure I believe in anymore. Supernatural peace that I cannot fathom. Peace for their souls, for their hearts, for their minds. Love. God, I pray love for them. Your love. True love that knows no limits, and that hears all hearts.

I pray for Your children. The ones who grown and wandering. The ones who are striving to do better but cannot even tell what that means anymore. For the ones who are hanging on by the tiniest thread and unsure, they can hang on any longer. I pray You reveal Your secret to them: that the thread they are so desperately hanging onto, the one they believe that if they let go of they will plummet into an unknown abyss, is really a thread on the sleeve of Your garment that letting go of will land them gently into Your open hands which have never left and never faltered.

I pray for our children. I pray for that one child. That one child, God, that needs you right at this very moment to show up louder and stronger than ever before. To break that chain, to heal that hurt, to give strength where there is none, and to stop the evil in its tracks. That one child, God. That one crying out to You in this moment louder than any other from their depths of their soul. May I be one more? One more lifting them up a little higher to You. May we all stand, with arms lifted high, raising Your children up to You in droves, or one by one. However they come, may we not grow weary in reaching down, pulling them up, and lifting them high to You. Because that is the only place any of us are truly safe.

For the ones taken. For the ones unseen. For the ones who have given up and given in. For the ones who are fighting, to save themselves For the ones who are complying, to save themselves. For the ones who have sold their soul because to own it means to feel the pain and that is something they can no longer endure, so they would sell anything to just be numb.

For the ones who are here, right here, but yet not. They have shut down and lashed out. They have run from what they know because what they did not know called louder. They have hurt others from their hurt.

They have hurt themselves from their confusion. They have failed to realize we are all flawed children trying to find our way.

I pray for the ones putting on a brave face in uncertain times.

For the ones laughing in the face of fear because it is not cool to be scared.

For the ones caught up in a whirlpool of decisions they have no say in.

For the ones in the tide of relationships that come and go from their lives and they have no idea what they have done to be so unworthy of a ‘normal’ family and life. I pray they know they can do better than we have.
