Our Children

Our Children

We are being bombarded all around with battles going on.  Some new, some old.  We all have a lot to say and sometimes I wish I could sit and listen to each and every person because the points are valid and so very fascinating!  Every single one of them.  The problem with that?  For every human in the world there is a different fascinating and valid point.  It is as if each one of us is speaking a different language that only we can truly understand.  Frustration and confusion can abound if we let it.  If you are like me, you feel pulled in a million different directions to stand up and fight for a million different ideas, people, beliefs, and heart-wrenching reasons. While I know that we do not all have the same experiences; I do believe that we can all come together for one common fight and that is our children.  We are being distracted from the fact that our children are being attacked, stolen, sold, abused, killed, manipulated, and ignored right under our noses.  There will be a time that they have to stand up and fight and my questions to us as adults are as follows.  Will they stand up and fight in-spite of us or with us?  Will they rise up from the ash heap we have left behind from the ruins of distraction battles we fought?  Or will they rise up in strength amidst the protection we have formed around them?

Your religion cannot save them and your politicians (all sides) are creating a world of normalization for these abuses to protect the abusers.  When the morals and laws are changed to allow abuse instead of fighting it, we must realize there is a war bigger than this world going and we have to choose sides.  Only one will win and there is only one that says:

“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believes in me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea”
— Mark 9:42

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones.  For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.”
— Matthew 18:10

That is the only side I want to be on.  The one fighting for our children instead of against them.
